Alex Warren announced his second studio album<\/a>, Wildchild,<\/em> will be released on August 28 through Atlantic Records.<\/p>\n

\u201cWILDCHILD\u201d is set to contain 13 songs, including previously released tracks \u201cFever Dream\u201d and \u201cFine Place to Die,\u201d as well as \u201cPassenger.\u201d Warren unveiled the album through a promotional video shared on Instagram<\/a> that featured actor Kevin James and culminated in the reveal of the album\u2019s title, artwork and release date.<\/p>\n

According to Warren<\/a>, the album title comes from a nickname given to him by his late father. \u201cGrowing up, my dad used to call me Wildchild so it\u2019s always had a special meaning and I even have it tattooed on me,\u201d Warren said in a statement<\/a>. \u201cCreating this album was really healing, therapeutic and a way for me to continue finding out more about myself .. This album really shows where I am in life today and compared to my first album which feels like a man who is broken, this one is a man who\u2019s trying to heal. It\u2019s been really nice to be able to confront those feelings and also be able to share them with the world to give everyone a transparent view into my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

To coincide with the announcement, Warren issued his latest single, \u201cPassenger<\/a>,\u201d a high-energy pop track co-written by the singer and produced by Adam Yaron. An accompanying music video<\/a> for the song was directed by Blythe Thomas. The new track joins previously distributed singles \u201cFever Dream\u201d and \u201cFine Place To Die,\u201d both of which are confirmed for the final tracklist.<\/p>\n

Warren currently on the road<\/a> with the North American leg of his Finding Family on the Road<\/em> world tour, with the concert series set to extend to international dates in Asia and Australia later this year.<\/p>\n
