Lil Baby has returned with his first solo release of 2026, unveiling the new single “Dead Fresh,” a collaboration with producer Pharrell Williams that marks the Grammy-winning artists’ first official pairing. The track blends Lil Baby’s signature melodic flow with Pharrell’s minimalist production, and arrives alongside the official music video for the track, directed by previous collaborator Kid Art.
The song’s rollout began weeks earlier when it debuted during Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2027 menswear show in Paris, where Pharrell serves as the fashion house’s men’s creative director. Lil Baby attended the event from the front row, helping introduce the record before its official release. Alongside the single, he also shared a teaser for the accompanying music video, directed by Kid Art, featuring cinematic scenes set against upscale locations including a tennis court, golf course and fashion-show backdrop.
The release signals the beginning of Lil Baby’s next album campaign, with the rapper telling fans it was “album time” – fueling anticipation for his forthcoming project, Dominique. The new single follows a busy year of collaborations with artists including Veeze, Rylo Rodriguez, 42 Dugg and Hotboii, as well as an appearance alongside Future on DJ Khaled’s “One Of Them.”
