The achievement places the country star alongside Mariah Carey\u2019s \u201cWe Belong Together\u201d and Whitney Houston\u2019s \u201cI Will Always Love You\u201d for the longest reign atop the chart by a non-holiday song from a female artist without a male-billed collaborator. Including holiday releases, only Carey\u2019s \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You\u201d has spent more weeks at No. 1.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d which first reached the summit in February, <a href=\"https:\/\/holler.country\/news\/breaking\/ella-langleys-choosin-texas-spends-14th-week-at-no-1-on-the-billboard-hot-100\/\">continues to dominate<\/a> through a combination of strong streaming, radio airplay and sales. The song appears on Langley\u2019s sophomore album <em>Dandelion<\/em>, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 earlier this year. Co-written by Langley, Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick and JoyBeth Taylor, the track has become the defining hit of the Alabama native\u2019s rapidly rising career.<\/p>\n<p>The latest <a href=\"https:\/\/musicrow.com\/2026\/07\/ella-langleys-choosin-texas-makes-history-with-14th-week-atop-billboard-hot-100\/\">chart accomplishment<\/a> further cements Langley\u2019s record-breaking run in 2026. Earlier this year, she became the first female artist to simultaneously top the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.
